let me tell you a story. a very complex story involving a little girl and a boy five years her senior. rory here was five when she first met mack williams. (that's what i called him in her app but it can be changed) she was playing at a local playground when he approached her, having seen the way her new step father was violent. he took her hand, and he led her away from that playground, and she never looked back. she was taken to a warehouse where mack, and his brother in all but blood kane, had set up their home. both runaways themselves they had found each other and made a living robbing the houses of the rich all over chicago. kane didn't object to getting a sister and the 'family' was formed. but over the years it became clear that what went on between rory and mack was anything but brother/sister. kane was the first to spot it even as the two of them were oblivious. the way mack would dry her hair for her, hold her when she had nightmares, stole her her first laptop, watch every move she made just in case she so much as broke a nail... everything he did screamed that he loved her as more than a sister, but of course as they were both still basically children neither could see it. kane only saw it because he was removed from the situation. so the years passed and the band of people that mack lead grew and grew, but still mack placed rory above everyone else, watching her back every step of the way. they'd by this point moved from burlgary to cons and hacking into other people's bank accounts and they were pretty much on every wanted list there was.

rory was fifteen and mack twenty when he finally made a move on her. first kiss and first sex happened on the first day, after all it wasn't as if they were meeting for the first time. after that they were a couple, but the cops were closing in. mack, being the head of his little organisation or "family" as he called it had to make a decision, and he chose what he thought was best. he got them all arrested and then sold their souls to the government in return for not going to jail, this was the same day he asked rory to marry him and she said yes. the boys were all placed in a black ops team together with the military (meaning they go and 'eliminate' anyone that needs getting rid of by the government and they do it quietly) and rory and the other girl cathy were assigned to anaylasis work. now the boys all loved their new lives, finally they could use what made them such good criminals for good. but the relationship between rory and mack took a downturn. every time rory tried to make him see that the government could turn on him just as easily as they could on anyone else he would tell her to stop being paranoid. rory was so used to him taking her advice, listening to her as she was the main brains of the operation, that when he didn't it hurt. so she began to think, and when rory thinks it's never a good thing. one night she turned to mack and asked him if he loved her, if she was more than just someone to keep his bed warm. his only reply was to tell her to stop being so silly and go back to sleep... but that wasn't enough for rory. she wanted a love, a family, a commitment... so she just left. packed a bag while he was asleep and took off, leaving nothing but a note asking him not to come after her.

when mack woke up the next morning and found the note he went beserk, literally beserk. ran all over the house, looked in every cupboard for any sign she might come back... but she truly had cleaned out everything that was hers. the truth of the matter was mack did love her, more than anything, rory had always been and would always be his very heart and soul, and the fact she'd left without a word sickened him to the stomach. anger, hurt pride, despair... all of it boiled up and he didn't go after her, a decision he would come to regret in later months. rory in the meantime had left chicago completely and was on her way to california, then texas, then new york, then new england... she danced around until arriving in south hampton. almost two years have passed since she left him. yet technically they are still engaged as she didn't give him the ring back. and now his anger is gone all mack can feel is the hole in his heart where rory should be, and he's going to do something about it finally. he asked the government for a favour, find her for him and then post him to wherever she is, just give him the chance to take back what he still sees as righfully his. from the moment rory put her little hand into his mack has seen her as his posession, something for him and no one else to hold and love and take care of. just because he couldn't say pretty words to her doesn't meant he didn't love her. he just thought he'd been expressing it through actions back then. so he got her address and has now arrived in south hampton, although they are yet to see each other, after all he only arrived about a week ago. the rest of the team are still in chicago, he's come alone.

soo ummm that's their very long history and if you want even more detail i'd suggest reading rory, who now goes by scar,'s application because he's mentioned a hell of a lot in there. his pb is tom welling because well he just suits mack and he'd be twenty five. i kind of have this image of him getting a job at the school as like the football coach so scar literally walks in one day and he's there all charming smile and "hello honey." because he's noted she still wears her engagement ring =P. i'll literally love you forever if you take him up! -waves bag of cookies temptingly- pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
